Head injuries, war and the Red Sox

Flipping through the exhibitors at the upcoming Health and Fitness Expo reminded us of another reason to root for the Sox.

The Home Base program

The Home Base Program helps veterans get back to home base

Who are we?

The Home Base Program is a partnership between the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital.

 What do we do?

We are dedicated to improving the lives of veterans who deployed in support of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and live with deployment- or combat-related stress and/or traumatic brain injury.

 What do we provide?

We provide clinical care to veterans as well as support for their families. The Home Base Program also offers educational courses and materials for health care providers and the public.

We’re also bringing together world-class researchers seeking medical breakthroughs in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injury and stress-related disorders.
